Watch Ghana's 4*100 relay team record season's best in World Athletic Championship

Ghana finished the 2017 World Athletic Championship without a medal, but the womens 4x100m relay team recorded their season’s best of 43.68s in Heat 1.

The quartet namely Flings Owusu Agyapong, Gemma Acheampong, Akua Obeng-Akrofi, Janet Amponsah are the fastest on the African continent, yet they missed out narrowly on the final spot after recording a time 43.68 secs .

Ghana’s women relay team placed sixth in Heat 1 of the women’s 200m with the likes of United States, Great Britain and Switzerland placing first, second and third positions respectively.

None of Ghana’s athletes at this year’s championship were able to progress to the next round of their respective competition despite high hopes going into the championship.
